Pavlova (Family Recipe)

A classic pavlova meringue case with a crisp shell and soft marshmallow centre — ready to fill with cream and fruit.

Ingredients

  • 6 egg whites
  • 12 oz sugar
  • 1 dessertspoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour

Instructions

    Beat the egg whites, then add 6 oz of the sugar.

    When the mixture is stiff, add the vinegar and cornflour.

  3. 3

    Fold in the remaining 6 oz of sugar.

    The case can be made either on a greased meat dish or on greaseproof paper.
